Pilar Yanguas — contemporary visual artist.
PilarchoArt is the artistic universe of Pilarcho Yanguas, a contemporary visual artist originally from Navarra and based in Barcelona.
Her work focuses on contemporary female portraiture as an emotional territory: a space where strength, vulnerability, instinct and transformation coexist. She works from emotion, colour and intuition, giving a central place to the gaze and to the creative process as essential parts of her artistic language.
Through expressive faces, intense gazes and sensitive colour palettes, her paintings explore what often remains invisible: inner tension, memory, presence and emotional truth.
With a background in Advertising and Public Relations, Marketing and Commercial Direction, and Editorial and Advertising Illustration, PilarchoArt brings together visual storytelling, intuition and contemporary figurative painting.
Since 2012, she has developed her practice mainly through acrylic painting, portraiture and mixed visual languages. Her work has been exhibited in Navarra, Madrid, Barcelona and Paris, consolidating a personal visual language rooted in identity, sensitivity and the power of the female gaze.
In 2026, PilarchoArt continues expanding her artistic path with new exhibitions and art fair opportunities in Italy, opening a new international stage focused on collectors, collaborations, patronage and contemporary art spaces.
PilarchoArt is not only a body of work. It is a long-term artistic project built around presence, emotion and the transformative power of portraiture.
